Architecture in Rome

Architecture student trips to Rome

In Rome more than two thousand years of Western history, civilisation and culture sit side by side. It is a bewildering jumble of architectural periods and movements: Modern and Medieval, Renaissance and Classical, and everything in between. Often these juxtaposing styles can seem incongruous, yet they are always fascinating and inspiring.

Equity has selected a range of excursions ideally suited to maximizing the impact of college and university trips to Rome. These include a detailed exploration of the Vatican, the sublime splendour of the Sistine Chapel and many of the city’s other lesser-known architectural treasures. Contrast the styles of the Catholic Church with the classical enormity of Emperor Vespasian’s Colosseum, commissioned in 72 AD. The Pantheon links styles across the centuries: originally a Roman temple, later transformed into a church, its lines were the inspiration for Renaissance architects.

The accommodation selected is well located and suits various budgets. Equity has intimate knowledge of Rome, ensuring your college or university trip is smooth, simple and affordable.

The streets of Budapest are punctuated with fascinating and significant examples of architecture.
