Film & Media student trips to Berlin
Berlin has a diverse cultural scene that is energetic and eclectic, fueled by its highly sophisticated and critical citizens and the international visitors drawn to its reputation as a cutting-edge creative city. This is a fascinating and inspirational destination for a Film and Media Studies educational trip.
The Filmpark Bablesberg studios were established in 1912. Guided tours give students a detailed insight into film and television production techniques, taking them on set with current TV shows and to see the studios used by the Nazis to make their propaganda films.
Build on this experience with a visit to the broadcasting headquarters of RBB to see the daily workings of the regional television and radio studios once used by the Soviets, or a visit to one of the largest public broadcasting organisations in Europe, ZDF.
Other excursions offered by Equity include the Museum of Film and Communication and its collection of costumes, props and set designs, or a visit to Axel Springer, Germany’s largest publisher of newspapers and magazines.
