Film & Media student trips to Barcelona
Barcelona has a significant media industry servicing its own Catalan population but also Spanish and international audiences. The metropolitan and Catalonian authorities see media as an important economic sector and both have been actively supporting the industry.
Print and film have a long association with the city, as does television, but new media companies are also attracted to its creative culture and talent. Barcelona’s mix of traditional and new media, regional, national and international focus combine to provide students on a Film and Media Studies educational trip with a range of insights and perspectives.
Equity offers a guided tour of Barcelona TV, the local Catalan language station, where students will learn about programme production, transmission and the operation of a television channel. They will also participate in a debate about content, communication and editorial issues.
