New York

Art & Design in new-york-city

Art, Design & Photography student trips to New York

New York has an array of art culture, from auction houses selling multi-million pound masterpieces to aspiring young artists heart-set on creating something original and worthwhile. Add to the mix private galleries and museums covering a huge range of movements and styles from internationally renowned artists, designers and photographers and New York’s artistic credentials are clear. It is a superb destination for an Art, Design and Photography educational trip.

Equity offers carefully selected excursions. These include workshops at the Guggenheim Museum taught by art professionals. Students have a guided tour of the museum’s collection followed by a hands-on session on a range of innovative subjects, covering painting, drawing, design and sculpture.

The International Centre of Photography is a research centre, educational facility and museum dedicated to the practice and understanding of photography. During their visit students will gain insight into the artistic, technical and historical context of photographs in the regularly refreshed exhibitions.

Some of the other excursions include tours of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art and MOMA, the Museum of Modern Art.
