Art & Design student trips to Madrid
For students on an Art, Design and Photography educational trip few places offer the concentrated satisfaction of Madrid’s Golden Triangle, where three of the world’s most important art museums sit within a short walk of each other in the centre of the city.
The Prado Museum houses over 7000 works, including a particularly strong collection of 17th and 18th century Spanish paintings including pieces by Goya, da Ribera and Velázquez.
The Museo Reina Sofía is homage to Spain’s 20th century artists and includes significant bodies of work by Dali and Picasso, amongst others. Probably it’s most famous piece is Picasso’s Guernica.
Whereas the other two institutions allow study in depth, The Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza provides diversity. It has artistic works from a staggering breadth of styles, including at least one piece from many of the most famous names.
Madrid’s artistic scene is by no means limited to these three museums, and Equity provide other excursions to enhance the understanding and perception of Art, Design and Photography students during their visit. Itineraries can be tailored to suit specific study requirements.
