Safety Management System (SMS)
Our SMS document sets out our commitment to organising our operations safely. A component of which is our Supplier Audits, completed regularly in accordance with School Travel Forum requirements, to ensure that our hotel, transport and excursion suppliers meet national safety standards and have appropriate documentation in place.
Read our Health and Safety Policy.
In addition, we understand the challenges Party Leaders face when organising trips, so in order to help you ensure the tour is as safe as possible, we are happy to assist you with your Risk Assessments and any other safety planning.

ABTA and ABTA Members help holidaymakers to receive the service they have paid for and assist them when things do not go according to plan. We are committed to maintaining a high standard of service to you by adhering to ABTA’s Code of Conduct. For further information about ABTA, the Code of Conduct and the arbitration scheme available to you if you have a complaint, please visit www.abta.com;
The air tours in our programme are protected through our ATOL (Air Travel Organiser’s Licence) number 2680, which is granted to us by the CAA. ATOL protects you from losing your money paid in advance or being stranded abroad. It does this by carrying out financial checks on the travel operators it licenses, and requires a financial guarantee called a bond, which is lodged with the CAA. If a Tour Operator goes out of business, ATOL will make a refund to you, or if you're abroad, ATOL will arrange for you to finish your holiday and fly home. Equity Student Travel is also accredited by IATA (International Air Travel Association).

We use a core of preferred coach operators - all of which are well established and reliable companies,or supplied to us by trusted Agents. Audits are completed for all our selected coach companies to ensure that they provide us with good quality, safe and reliable vehiclesand drivers. Seat belts will be available for all passengers on UK coaches, but this does not necessarily apply to overseas coaches. However our standard is to seek coaches with seatbelts wherever reasonably possible to do so. The frequency and detail of the Audits is set by the School Travel Forum.
We make every effort to select properties that are suitable for school group accommodation. All of the properties featured in this website have also been subject to an Audit, covering essential areas of security, food hygiene, fire and pool safety. The frequency and detail of the Audits is set by the School Travel Forum.
