Krakow Airport Tour
Balice International in Krakow is the country’s second largest airport, which handles over 2.4 million passengers a year. The airport originally opened in 1964 and was used for military purposes until 1968. Since then it has undergone many changes and was most recently updated in 2002. The airport now consists of one international and one internal terminal. The visit will include a tour of these different areas and a presentation from a key member of staff about the day to day running of the airport.

Krakow Water Plant
During this visit, groups have the opportunity to visit the city’s main water supply, located at the Dobczyckie Lake to the south of the city. The building of a large dam on the Raba River has enabled a steady water supply to Krakow for decades. Your students will enjoy a tour of the main site as well as a presentation by a key member of the operating staff.

Zywiec Brewery
Established in 1856, the Zywiec Brewery produces Poland’s best selling premium lagers, which have recently become a popular export to the UK and other countries. Although this is a traditional Polish beer, it was purchased by Heineken International in the 1990’s giving it a global manufacturer and making it a huge export that the Polish people are immensely proud of. The interactive tour shows the brewing process in the large factory and allows you to get up close and personal with the processes involved.
