Student trips to Venice
The Floating City
Venice is one of the most iconic, enchanting and beautiful cities in the world. At its heart is a maze of canals, streets and alleys that have remained virtually unchanged for hundreds of years.
Its long-lived position as one of the world’s most wealthy and influential trading centres during the Middle Ages led to the development of a rich and distinct architectural tradition. It also allowed for generous patronage of the arts and the acquisition of a hoard of artistic treasures.
Venice is one of Europe’s most popular tourist cities, and for very good reason. For its scenery, its ambience, its history, its art and its architecture, Venice is a superb destination for an educational trip.
Equity offers diverse excursions carefully chosen to compliment the study requirements of individual colleges and universities. Accommodation is conveniently located and the hotels have been selected to suit a range of budgets.
N.B The basic 'from' prices do not include excursions, for a full package price...

Below is a sample of Excursions Equity can organise for your trip to Venice - for subject specific excursions have a look at the
recommended educational trips for Venice
St Mark's Square
The St. Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco), which was called "the drawing room of the world" by Musset, has been the centre of the religious and social life in the Venetian republic for almost one millennium.
Campo Santa Margherita Market
Like so many European squares, Campo Santa Margherita is named after the church that fronts it on one side, which was closed in 1810. Since then, the church has been used as a cinema and, most recently, an auditorium for the local university.
Ca' Pesaro, the most important baroque palace in the city, designed by Baldassare Longhena, has been the seat of Venice City Council’s collection of modern art since 1902. One of the museum’s strengths is its vast collection of sculptures, including works in wax by Medardo Rosso.
National Archaelogical Museum
The National Archaeological Museum comprehends an important collection of antique sculptures, among which some important original ancient Greek figures. The Museum collections also include bronzes, ceramics, precious stones and coins, as well as Egyptian and Assyrian-Babylonian antiquities.
St Marks Basilica
Dating back to the 9th Century St Marks Basilica is one of the most-visited sights in Venice. A spectacular building with over 500 columns and enough mosaic to cover a football pitch.
Ponte Vecchio Bridge - "Old Bridge" in Italian - is the most famous bridge in Florence and undoubtedly one of the city’s most illustrious landmarks. Ponte Vecchio’s uniqueness lies in the fact that it is not only a functional structure for crossing the river, but is also a road, a market place and piazza that has developed in a chaotic fashion over the centuries.
