Student trips to Berlin
A city of many faces
Berlin has been shaped by its recent past, an urban arena for the vicious interplay of political extremes: Nazism, Communism and capitalism. Large tracts of the city were laid waste at the end of World War Two. Divided since the end of the War and physically separated by the Wall for 28 years, since 1989 Berlin has struggled to redefine its cityscape, economy and culture.
Today, Germany’s capital and largest city has juxtaposed its turbulent past with a new identity of tolerance and creativity. It is now a city with a distinct and dynamic art, fashion and architectural scene. It is a nightlife nerve centre and a commercial hub with a modern, diverse economy.
Berlin is a destination that would greatly enhance the knowledge and understanding of students from a wide range of subjects.

How Equity can help
A great European all-rounder, Berlin can inspire any student. A typical Student tour to Berlin would run between 2 and 4 nights and would include air travel for 30 students and 3 staff. These numbers can be flexible to your requirements. Our basic price does not include excursions and will vary depending on the travel dates and the final itinerary.
Equity deal with all the administration of the excursions, the admissions, travel and accommodation details before your trip- allowing you to focus on the learning objectives for your students. While you are on your trip our support team can be contacted 24/7 should you require any assistance.
If you are interested in taking your students on a trip then fill out our quick 'get a quote' form and we will get back to you with a non-obligational, tailor made quote for your group trip.
What You Say
I would like to thank you for your professionalism and quick responses to my many queries. By all accounts the trip was a great success, the accommodation was clean, the breakfast was good and there were no hitches with the travel arrangements
Mrs Shaw, Cardiff
We have just returned from Berlin and I wanted to extend to you and everyone else at Equity Travel a massive thank you for a wonderful trip. Everything ran smoothly, coaches, flight etc. We really liked the hostel (us staff had rooms at the top floor away from the doors and the kids- excellent!), the staff were friendly, location was great, good breakfast etc. The students had a fabulous time. Next year we are thinking of either Rome or Vienna, or more ambitiously Russia (do you offer Russia?)

Below is a sample of Excursions Equity can organise for your trip to Berlin - for subject specific excursions have a look at the
recommended educational trips for Berlin
River cruise on the Spree
Enjoy a river cruise on the Spree where you will be able to see some of Berlin’s biggest landmarks. Tour includes Moltkebrucke Nikolai District, Television Tower, Berlin Cathedral, Old National Gallery, New and Old Museum, Pergamon Museum, Bode Museum, Studio of the German TV channel ARD, Jakob-Kaiser-House, Reichstag, Berlin’s main station - Lehrter station.
Guided walk of the Wall
The traces of the Wall have not only vanished from the people's mind but also from the urban landscape even though the demarcation line of the Wall in the central part of the city was marked on the asphalt. Starting at the Brandenburg Gate the walk will follow this line to Kreuzberg, past the former Prussian Parliament, the Martin-Gropius-Bau, the open-air exhibition Topography of Terror and other important places until the tour reaches the most famous borderline control station in history, Checkpoint Charlie.
The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe
The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in the centre of Berlin is Germany’s Central Holocaust Memorial site. The Memorial consists of a field of Stelae designed by architect Peter Eisenman and an underground Information Centre. The Visitor Service Team organises guided tours and can adapt the tour according to prior knowledge and interest of the group.
Visit one of the biggest sport complexes in Europe. The Olympic stadium in Berlin regularly hosts international sport events and other cultural events. Originally designed for the 11th Olympic Games in 1936, the architect Werner March created a monumental building to reflect the aspirations of the Nazi leadership. The stadium was the location for the gathering of the International Youth of National Socialist Germany greeted by Hitler in the days leading up to WWII.
